2008-11-17 :: Silvervine Interview with Robot Martini - 11/17/08

At this year's Origins Game Fair, we were interviewed by one of the people from the website Robot Martini. Recently, they just emailed me and said they got the interview up.

http://www.robotmartini.com/community/viewpost/855

At last year's Origins Games Fair I stuck a copy of the core rules int the robot costume of one of the guys walking around. He was fortuitous in my winning an ADGNSEPEF555 game and I wanted to thank him. So despite what they say, it can be helpful to stick things in strangers clothing!

2008-10-06 :: CotC Success - 10/06/08

Well we are all done with Con-On-The-Cob and it was a great success. While turnout for the con in general was a little low we got some quality facetime with a lot of new players. I'll be posting a full con report once I can get around to it, but in the meantime I need to pimp one of the products that helped us out.

Despite time being limited before the con, and despite our best efforts to plan ahead, we found ourselves trying to get a lot of things done last minute. One of the things we needed was a good banner for our booth. I whipped one together in a short time and had to get it someplace to get printed. Local print companies and copy stores couldn't promise turnaround so I had to go online looking for something on the off chance we could get it in time. Because of a good review, and despite the lack of pictures of the product, I went with a vinyl banner from http://www.vinylbannersigns.com/. Everything turned out great. The banner looked exactly like the graphic I provided, the art was excellent and didn't scale at all badly and the turnaround was much quick than expected. So if you are in the need of a banner, go check them out. Their customer service and quick answers to my questions was excellent.

2008-09-25 :: Silvervine @ Con-On-The-Cob - More Info and Some Art - 09/25/08

It's been a full 23 days with no news posts. We've been getting ready for Con on the Cob and commencing our great and final editor search. Our booth presentation at CotC (not Clan of the Cats , but Con on the Cob) will be pretty good. We've just gotten a very well done banner, a decent number of props made, an excellent gaming area (donated by http://http://www.jacgames.com/) and we'll all be in costumes of various characters we've played.

The pictures from CotC will be excellent, much like the story and art from CotC is. Speaking of pictures, here are 4 pictures from our newest artist Avery.

Just a quick update to say that a few people from Silvervine will be at Gencon on Friday night, Saturday and Sunday. We'll be bouncing around from place to place, meeting up with some people like the Gnome Stew crew, Phil, The Chatty DM and The Impossible Dream. John will also be running around in kilt and goggles fawning over webcomic artists and authors. See you there!

2008-07-04 :: Happy Independence Day! Con Report Coming Soon - 07/04/08

Happy Independence day to every American reader! We've been de-rezzing from Origins and are about back on track with lots of feedback from the con and lots of fun stories to tell. Soon I'll have a con report up, and I'll lay out some plans for future conventions like Gencon and Con on The Cob. We'll also introduce a new artist that we met at Origins and get some of her art up on the site and in the book.
