One of the Holy Relics which was created by the Starkindlers were the Three Mirrored Knives of Math-Adaran. Small daggers of varying lengths these Knives were known to be able to protect a user from destructive magics. The knives were said to cut through magic which was harmful with their sharp edges. Applied to an enchanted person, or someone who was cursed they would rip through the very fabric of the foul magics and whatever demons were aiding them. It is said the blades of the knives harmed the actual caster of the magics it destroyed as well. The other use of the knives were to reflect back immediate threats of magic towards the bearer of the knife. When held in a certain way and while whispering a certain command any magic which touched the knife would be absorbed and reflected back towards the caster. There were only three of these wonderous knives ever made.
While many arcanists and mage knights have attempted to recreate the relics there have never been any who succeeded. A notable attempt was by the Mage Knight Sharum-Nahar. He was able to forge a spear with a hybrid of the two abilities. If applied directly against an immediate magical force which was directed at the wielder, the spear head could cut through the magic and nullify it. See this entry for more details.
