Of the areas which are known to be safe and stable the cities of Pero come foremost to mind. By far the biggest is the city of Commonwealth, the primary trade center for Pero. Commonwealth is a large and diverse city with many buildings of varied architectures. It trades in quarried goods from Silvergale, produce and farms of Ierrick, and lumber from the forests around Mill. It trades with the Animalia of Drisst and Myrrh and the desert people of the southern lands. It is said you can find almost anything in Commonwealth. While commonwealth is the largest of the cities in Pero it holds no major army but a rather large town guard. It does not attempt to exert control or strict tariffs on the other cities but maintains a center of free trade for any who can make it there. The government in Commonwealth convenes in a building known as the library. The lower halls and the 5 levels of basements are all home to a massive collection of books and scrolls on an infinite number of subjects. The top floor is home to the council of commonwealth and the various committees. Just outside of the library are the main barracks and training grounds for the town guard. This makes the library the most secure place within all of commonwealth. Commonwealth spills down one of the major hills in the area. It’s feet are said to reside on land but it’s head is said to reach to heaven. Buildings are found close and far apart and street vendors cram into any area that is not filled with buildings. There is indeed nothing which can not be found within commonwealth.
