Scharr-Esred lies deep in the desert to the south. It is accessible by sea and an extended port area which has its own outpost. A river is being dug by workers from the sea to the city so that smaller ships can travel directly to the city walls. Attacks by nomads and some fell creatures have caused great delays in the rivers construction. Scharr-Esred retains an air of eastern mystery and its own separate style. Defiant to any change Scharr-Esred stands as a hard rod of control in the harsh desert. It is the home of the Holy Temple of Pero, and is the religious center for many of the Taeosian believers in the desert lands. The holy writings held here are far different from those in Ithis. Perosian Taeosianism has come down from holy writings carried from the first temple of the God Elves (when they worshipped Taeos in the twilight dawn), carried by the 3 God Elves who started the first rebellion and escaped Ithis with a groups of slaves. The 3 cities in the desert are named after the 3 rebel God Elves.
