With years of superiority and few left to conquer the Godelves turned within their own ranks. They began to classify themselves as lower and higher classes and some of the god elves even became slaves themselves. It was one of these, Elos, that was to be the downfall of Maingth who had built himself a throne in the most beautiful city in a tower made of pure adamant. Elos escaped from the city with the help of the star kindlers. He took up the phoenix eye and the swords prism and dawn razor. With these he ascended the heights of the tower and began the battle with Maingth. For night and day from one end of the land to another they fought. Their battle was the storm in the sky, it was the tearing of the earth, their ferocity was the churning of the water that sinks the ships on the sea, their anger was the fire that burns the forest, their rage was the death of the world. In the end Elos, powered by his phoenix armor took Maingth to the highest point of the rings of Cyrus and threw him down straight upon his adamant tower.
The power released started small. It only destroyed the city of the god elves in the first second. In the next second all was silent and the races of the world waited with anticipation that seemed to stretch on past the limits of forever. In the third the great shockwave spread across the land and flattened the trees of the north and threw the axis of Cyrus off balance. In the fourth second the fire followed from the tower and burned away all that remained scorching the northern face of the moon gate and the mountains surrounding it. In the fifth second the great winds swept over spreading the fire through the sky and up raining down on the world and burning away vegetation in the corners of the world and in the sixth second the dust settled on everything else darkening the sky and hiding from the races the suns and the moons and the rings and that was when all seemed lost.
Elos looked on the destruction from the highest ring and wept. He felt that only now had Maingth finally succeeded in causing pain to Taeos by making an elf ruin the creation. He looked down and saw that Maingth was not dead, but deeply injured and smiling. He saw that Maingth knew what he knew and had succeeded in many ways. Fleeing and refusing to fight anymore Elos looked for the missing archai for guidance. He called out to Taeos for wisdom and asked over and over again how to proceed. He found only a single seed by a small pool of water in the wastes he had created. He took these and fled. The star kindlers took what was left of Maingth and separated his spirit from his body. Without the and prism and dawn razor they had no way to kill Maingth. They took his power and placed it into a stone glyph and threw it far into space to be guarded forever by Jellaludin. Thinking all was in peace again they set out to begin to heal the world with their magic.
