Menrig

Description

The current incarnation of Menrig is said to have a mane that is died red like the fire of the sun. It is said that he bears many scars across his chest and refuses to cover them with any sort of armor or cloth. On his arms he wears two dual arm blades made to tear through flesh and enhance his own natural claws. It is said that Menrig can be distinguished from other lionblooded by his short muzzle and a scar across his forehead extending to his jaw.

History/Story

Throughout the ages merchants at sea and the rare sky caravans borne aloft by lodestone powered airships have been subject to pirate raids. There is one name amongst the tales of the pirates that stands out since the beginning days of sea travel. That name is Menrig The Lion. Tales of the Lion Blooded Animalia Menrig have been told from the earliest ages of sea travel. It is believed that the name is either something adopted by various Lion Blooded pirates or that an actual family line exists from the Menrig the First on down.

If the family line theory does indeed turn out to be true it is likely that the current person name Menrig is the 17th or 19th in the line (based on rumours and what geneological research we could garner.)

What is known is that the current Menrig uses a set of specially tuned airship engines and lodestones on his seaship and a steel enforced bow to ram other ships. The ship is rumoured to be a modified airship that is capable of both sea and air travel, though air travel is said to be taxing for it.

Menrig is said to be in league with another infamous pirate.

Addendums

  • The term menrigging was coined by the first menrig to use the ramming technique.
  • Menrig worthy ships are ones built strong in the front, or with steel bows.
