Description
Ved, as the other heroes called him, was a fine blacksmith and warrior in the Icelands before he traveled to Rumi. He bore a giant warhammer and became quite adept at using steel attuning magics once he acquired one of the Kyozin armors. Ved later became famous for leading a design revolution within the Icenglades. Ved was said to have lost his thumb to the Masamune at one point, but made use of a steel spell to replace it. He is known in some circles as Steel Thumbed Ved.
History/Story
Des Vedannnya, the Icelandic blacksmith was a later addition to the Heroes of Venture. He had been living within the town of Rumi apprenticing himself to a blacksmith there who specialized in transportation vehicles. When the group arrived in Rumi they had heard rumours of a large impassable door deep within a mine to the north of Rumi. Ved, as he was called by the group had gotten bored with the mundane work he was assigned. He agreed to go with the group in the hopes that he could remove whatever locks were kept upon the door. In the end the door did prove impassable, however Ved proved quite handy in battle as he defeated many of the strangely giant ants which had infested the tunnels of the mine. The door was never opened, but Braknor was able to use his druidic powers to mold the stone around the door into a passageway through the wall and into the tunnel beyond.
Ved continued to travel with the group later providing many helpful services. In the Cliffside Cave of Kyozin Ved acquired the hammer of Kyozin, the final Steel Armor which the group had been waiting to find. Ved was able to use this to craft Ronsha's Bronze Manna Armor as well as replace the thumb he lost due to mishandling of the sword Masamune.
