Dwarves

Slight of build, but strong of body and adapted to the stony and craggy mountains, both inside and out, the Dwarves are the key engineers of Cyrus. Shorter than a human (about shoulder height), the Dwarves are a strong and well cultured people. They value strength and honesty, and tend to be jovial in nature. Dwarves are said to be near immortal. While this has never been truly verified by scholars outside the Dwarven kingdoms, it is known that Dwarves are incredibly long lived. Dwarves live in towns and cities that are full of metal-work and iron. The form family clans that tend to split if they get too large, but split clans always retain ties to old parentclans. During the era of the GodElves power, the Dwarves traveled south to live in the Steel Spine Mountains southern range. Here they encountered the leftover creations of the Nephillim—the giants. With no way to match the giants in size, the Dwarves created enchanted, mechanical battle suits called siege suits. Standing only as tall as the giant’s shins, the Dwarves at least had enough power to face off against their enemies, and eventually settle the region. The training and building of the siege suits has continually been maintained, and is one of the keystones of current Dwarven culture. The giants continue to be a threat, but as siege suits adapt and benefit from technological advancement the giants become less of a problem.
