Emperor Miyato Gasema

Description

Miyato is a fairly elderly man with a long mustache and strong features. His frame is short but commands respect. His eyes are keen and his voice cuts through noise, static and other voices. Mitayo Gasema always has a strong or kind word, a poised gesture or knowing look, a devious smile or straightforward tone. To whatever situation he is called he brings what is needed. Miyato bears the imperial seal and is one of the few emperors of his line who are not militarily aligned. He is a master diplomat and a strong thinker, but knows that he is not a general and leaves military matters to those who know those tactics. To this end he is never far from his lead general Benkei Amaso.

A Physical Characteristic: Long mustache which he maintains with pride

First Impression: Quiet and strong. He seems like he listens to all those talking, but always makes the choices himself.

A Common Behavior: He schools himself harshly in the body language he gives off. He rarely makes a move that is random or not carefully controlled.

Vocal Characteristics: His voice always seems well rounded and strong. He does not speak loudly or softly, nor quickly or slowly. His voice seems to flow from word to word.

History/Story

The Miyato family line has stretched down from the human lineage of the first Miyato Garasara to the current day emperor Miyato Gasema. Many minor wars occurred during this time and the Miyato line grew in power by following the commandment of their guardian spirit, the Monkey King Sun Wukong. "Be strong and willing to help, never let a thing defeat you. In this way shall you unite all things under heaven." The Miyato line has taken this to heart and Gasema Miyato is the Second true Emperor of clave in the Miyato dynasty. Through series of wars, land deals, and political manuevering they have acquired almost all of clave except for the southern deadlands. It is known that there are settlements within the deserts of Tan-Ji-Jun but they are not considered to be valuable enough to control. Emperor Gasema was enjoying the prosperity which being an emperor brought him until a rogue group from the southern lands took the capitol with help from a demon army. Gasema was deposed and exiled along with his son and retainers. They sent him away and have siezed control of the capitol and much of the clavian lands, although there are still many areas which refuse to cede to their control. Gasema is currently trying to gather aid and forces from Ithis and Pero to help him in his bid to relcaim the imperial chair.

It is said that the rebellion was sparked in part by Gasema's declaration that when he passed on his adopted son, a monkeyblooded animalia, would be named emperor despite not being in the bloodline. This sparked some traditionalists to riot, and those who disliked the current goverment took advantage and decided to spark rebellions all over the country.

Miyato Gamayosa

Description

Miyato Gamayosa is a monkeyblooded animalia who was found on a high mountain by an old tigerblooded mountain couple. Realizing there was something special about the child they took him on the long and perilous journey to the Emperors court. Seeing a white symbol on his forhead and having had a vision the week before the Emperor realized that the boy was to be the savior of clave. Adopting the boy immediately the Emperor took him under his wing as is own son. Gamayosa raised him as a child prince, but made sure that he played with the common people and learned the lesson that all were equal under the eyes of heaven. Those who personally known Gamayosa are impressed and amazed by his kindness, generosity and bearing. He is strong beyond all measure and follows closely to the legend of Son Wukong in his mannerisms and traits.

A Physical Characteristic: His hair is always wild and out of control

First Impression: Seems to be a ball of untamed energy. If nothing exciting is going on he seems anxious or annoyed.

A Common Behavior: He will mimic people if he is bored, proving the old saying, monkey see monkey do.

Vocal Characteristics: His voice changes inflection when speaking, he always seems to be moving about both physically and vocally.

History/Story

Gamayosa was found by an elderly tigerblooded couple when he was just a baby. They brought him before the Emperor instead of eating him for dinner. When the emperor saw him, he realized he was special and immediately adopted him. The tigerblooded couple were made royal retainers and lived in the palace to help raise Gamayosa. Gamayosa has been trained in many arts and skills from the age of 3 and he has proved to be exceptionally strong in all of them. Gamayosa fought in the front lines to protect the palace when the demon army invaded. He was wounded and barely survived. Once healed Gamayosa was put attached to the Special duty vanguard provided by Belcraft, but gave full leadership over to the commander set by belcraft. This results in a relationship of Gamayosa giving directions or goals and allowing the troops to carry them out in the ways they see best. Left up to his own devices Gamayosa would probably choose to storm the problem by the front entrance. Due to his quick temper and love of fighting he needs to be tempered and cooled down, but his main concern is always for the innocents who get embroiled in the crossfire of any conflict.

Monk Benkei

Description

Benkei's age shows in his grey hair. His body is lean but strong, every movement seems like a taut rope releasing and redrawing back to tautness. His face seems rough and uncared for as Benkei cares about nothing save martial arts. He usually wears no arm armor but keeps his chest well protected. It is rumored there is a tatoo of the demon he was possessed by on his chest.

A Physical Characteristic: Strong taut muscles

First Impression: Tough and silent, grumpy and standoffish.

A Common Behavior: He will stare at someone he doesn't like and make menacing faces. On other people it might be comedic, on him it is oddly alarming.

Vocal Characteristics: Doesn't speak enough to really determine. When he does speak it is with quick halting words as if he is unused to speech.

History/Story

The monk Benkei was once a peaceful and kind monk who would do no one any harm. The warrior benkei was a bloodthirsty bandit who slaughtered the innocent mercilessly. Possessed by a demon at a young age Benkei was sent down the dark path. He later repented and drove the demon out when one of the celestial spirits cleansed him. He walked the path of a monk for years until he was called upon to save a young man. That man was the emperor Miyato. The emperor impressed Benkei with his words and diplomacy and benkei seeing the need for this man to be protected pledged his loyalty to him before finding out he was the emperor. He now travels with the emperor and is his chief general. He is known as Benkei the Demon for his fierce tactics and swift attacks.
